Matsons House is a delightful Country House A Grade II Listed Building, Part of the house was
built around the 14th century and started out as a Hall House. In the 18th century the Georgian part
was added.
In 1991 the conservatory that opens into the walled garden was designed to join the old billiard room to the main house by the late Anthony D, Jackson A.R.I.B.A- An entrance off Church Street was also added,
Guests have the use of a spacious dining room a delightful guest sitting room, the conservatory &
billiard room.
Upstairs there are three large double bedrooms for guests with tea & coffee making facilitIes, one with ensuite bathroom & one other bathroom. There is also a shower in the downstairs cloak room.
Dinner is optional but well worth sampling on at least one night of your visit, Vegetarians are not forgotten. I offer Aga home cooking at its best.
Rodmersham is a charming hamlet with a few houses, cottages and an Ancient Church. The nearest village shops are at Bapchild or at Rodmersham Green both about 1 mile.
