Drummer Tommy Lee faced $1million bail to get out of jail last night after beating up wife Pamela Anderson.
California cops said the ex-Baywatch babe screaming "Arrest him, he's insane" had only minor injuries but was given "a damn rough time".
The drunken attack in their home happened after Pam lost a court case to stop a sex video being shown on the Internet featuring her and an ex-lover.
Battered Pamela Anderson is in shock after her wildman hubby Tommy Lee was locked up on a $1million wife-beating charge.
The quaking former Baywatch blonde called cops in terror when the drunken rocker flew into a rage and assaulted her.
Mum-of-two Pam was left with "a cut face, bleeding hand and broken fingernail and bruised back in the attack which left her "scared stiff".
And last night the Motley Crue drummer was in a police cell in Calabasas, California, facing a THREE-YEAR jail term for "spousal assault" … with bail put at more than £700,000.
Cops said the bail figure was more than twice the usual sum for wife beating because Tommy was already on probation for attacking a photographer outside a Hollywood nightclub.
But one astonished deputy said Pam's injuries were only minor … adding: "If bail is a million dollars for a broken fingernail, how much would it be if he'd bruised her boobs?"
In a 911 call to Los Angeles police from their Malibu home, Pam had pleaded: "Help! My husband has attacked me."
The massive bust-up followed growing tensions between the pair over a kinky video of Pam romping with her ex-boyfriend Brett Michaels, singer with heavy metal band Poison.
Michaels was shown having sex with Pam in the raunchy footage taken while they were together. But she had just lost a legal bid to stop the film being shown on the Internet.
And at one stage of the booze-fired onslaught by Tommy, he allegedly wrestled her to the floor and had her jaw in a vice-like grip as she clawed at his neck in a bid to get away.
She sobbed and screamed at cops: "Arrest him, he's insane."
Another recent row flared between them in Las Vegas after a Rolling Stones concert.
She flew straight home to LA and booked into a hotel with their two children for a night.
But Tommy has been accused of hitting Pam in the past. She filed for divorce in November 1996 after an alleged assault.
And last night she took out a restraining order against the rocker … who now almost certainly faces jail especially as a gun was also found at the house in a further breach of probation.
One cop who slapped Lee in handcuffs said "Judges don't like probation being broken."

Pam had Tommy's name tattooed on her wedding-ring finger, but later tried to have it surgically removed when their marriage hit the rocks.
Pam has claimed that her hubby's non-stop partying has meant he is not a very good father to their youngsters Brandon and Dylan Jagger.

Pamela Anderson and her husband Tommy Lee are set to make $20 million from a new sex video they are making together.
Pam and Tommy tried unsuccessfully to stop a bootleg video tape of them having sex being sold on the Internet, and the distributors have now made millions of dollars from it.
Now, however, Pam has changed her views on the subject and she and Tommy have negotiated with the same company to make another sex video with their permission which will be sold again on the Internet and in video shops, and this time Pam and Tommy will share the profits.
Speaking about this new video, which has yet to be filmed, Pamela said: "This next tape will be more professional than the first one, and not as graphic. It will be more tasteful, as we're going to get professional cameramen and lighting involved.
My attitude at first was outrage when I heard our tape was being sold, but now I just feel if you can't beat them join them. At least this way, Tommy and I can control it and we will get paid for our efforts."
Pamela is currently in the middle of shooting her new TV show VIP in LA, and says it should be on the air in the UK by early summer.

PAMELA ANDERSON LEE, the former Baywatch beauty, has won an emergency restraining order against her husband after he was arrested for allegedly assaulting her at their Malibu home.
Bail was set at £1 million and Tommy Lee, drummer for the rock band Motley Crüe, faces up to three years in prison though his wife's injuries were minor. She suffered bleeding from a broken nail and "redness" on her back, police said. But the incident on Tuesday would be a violation of Mr Lee's probation for attacking a photographer outside a Hollywood nightclub last month.
Mrs Anderson Lee called police to say her husband had attacked her, but declined medical attention and tried to have the assault charges dropped when officers arrived. But Mr Lee was still arrested.
The drummer has a history of trouble with the law, including an arrest for carrying a gun at Los Angeles airport and allegations of inciting a riot at a concert in Arizona. His marriage has been under strain, thanks partly to the release on the Internet of a videotape of the couple having sex. After arguing at a recent Rolling Stones concert in Las Vegas, Mrs Anderson Lee reportedly left the city with their two young children and checked into a Los Angeles hotel.
Having allowed the distribution of the so-called "honeymoon videotape", the actress is embroiled in a second court battle over another explicit tape, this time of her and Bret Michaels, lead singer of the group Poison, showing the pair having sex. She is fighting to keep the tape out of the public arena.
